UDP mode is enabled by default in the game. To activate it you will need to know the IP address of the PS4/PS5 running the game (nb. this could be different each time you switch it on).

Go to Settings on the main PS4/PS5 home screen, followed by Network, then View Connection Status. IP Address will be shown here.

In the app, tap START and then enter the IP address of your PS4/PS5, tap on Start and data should now arrive when you’re driving.

 

Please note: The telemetry feature in GT Sport that this app uses has not been officially released to the public by Polyphony Digital (the game developers) despite being present in the public version of the game. This is subject to change at any point they update the game where they could prevent it from working if they so wished. If this happens, all we (you and I) can do is ask Polyphony Digital (nicely please) to make the implementation official (and hopefully add more features 🙂 ).
